The CSWIP conference will have papers from all areas of philosophy related to the theme of the conference, including the history of philosophy, analytic and continental philosophy. There will also be panels that focus on specific questions, problems and concepts at work within analyses of the body, embodiment, and body-practices.

The registration fees for the conference are:
Members of CSWIP: $90; Members of CSWIP (Students and Underemployed): $40
Non-Members of CSWIP: $130; Non-Members of CSWIP (Students and Underemployed): $65
Travel Information
The conference will be held on Mount Royal University’s campus in Calgary, AB. The closest airport is the Calgary International Airport (YYC).
For participants who are driving to Mount Royal University for the conference, below is a link to the map of the parking lots on campus. Hotel Information
The conference has an agreement with Hotel Arts in downtown Calgary for a conference rate of $129 per room (Friday to Sunday evenings) and $199 on Thursday. Reservations can be made individually through the Hotel’s Reservation Department by calling [1-800-661-9378] using the Group Code of 1205CSWIPA or CSWIP Annual Meeting. It’s important to reserve rooms by Tuesday, September 25, 2012, in order for the conference rate to be valid.

There is a shuttle—Allied Airport Shuttle—that will take you directly from the Calgary International Airport to Hotel Arts. The cost is $15 per person, one way. There’s no need to book the shuttle in advance. Ask the customer service desk in the airport to point you towards the shuttle pick-up location at the airport. When you are leaving the hotel to return to the airport, you can book the shuttle at the hotel, two hours in advance of your departure.
In terms of cost-saving strategies:
Billeting options will be available, and so if you would like to be placed on the billeting list, please let Ada Jaarsma know: Jaarsma. We’ll do our best to accommodate billeting requests. As another way to reduce the costs of the event, participants might want to share hotel rooms. Feel free to contact Ada if you would like to be connected with other participants in order to coordinate room-sharing.
