Job Summary
The Philosophy Lecture position has a 4/4 teaching load on a semester calendar, with minimal service and research expectations. Teaching is primarily in our
Philosophy Core Curriculum (especially Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking); the Lecturer may periodically be asked to teach upper-level courses, including
Professional Ethics, as needed. Promotion to Senior lecturer may be awarded with a proven teaching, service and professional activity/achievement record.
The Philosophy Lecturer Position may be renewable annually based on satisfactory performance evaluation.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. at time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
Area of specialization and area of competence open. Teaching competence in professional ethics preferred.
Proposed Salary
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
