University of Bayreuth (Germany), full professor, Ethics

The University of Bayreuth is a research-oriented university with internationally competitive, interdisciplinary focus areas in research and teaching.
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Bayreuth is currently seeking a full professor at pay grade W 3 (minimum gross salary per month: 7,217 euros)
to commence as soon as possible.
This is a permanent civil service position.
The successful applicant will have an outstanding research track record including publications in high-ranked philosophy journals in Ethics, and their/her/his areas of competence
will include Philosophy of Public Policy or Social Philosophy.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the focus areas and Strategic Structure and Development Plan (StEP) of the University of Bayreuth.
The professorship will teach primarily in the Philosophy and Economics BA and MA programmes, and will be responsible for core modules in Ethics.
The successful applicant will also have the competence to teach courses in history of philosophy. The ability to teach in English is required.
