The Gender Studies Department at the University of Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position in the theory and practice of decolonial,
intersectional, anti-racist feminisms at the Assistant Professor level, commencing July 1, 2021.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent by date of appointment, a strong record of scholarship and/or creative work, a demonstrated commitment
to teaching in an interdisciplinary undergraduate Gender Studies program at all levels, and the ability to draw on experiential knowledge in research and teaching.
The successful candidate will demonstrate clear potential for excellent research, teaching, curriculum development, publication, and student supervision and mentorship.
Further, as a member of a small department, the candidate will be expected to share in administrative duties both at the departmental and university level and to show a
willingness to participate in the possible development of an interdisciplinary M.A. program or graduate certificate.
