This new department currently offers a Minor and a Masters in Women's Studies. As well as interdisciplinary collaboration among colleagues in Arts, Business, Community Health, Education, Engineering, Human Kinetics and Recreation, Science, and Nursing, the Department has strong connections with community organizations where Women's Studies graduate students may elect to complete internships or projects, and where they complete one required course, Feminism as Community. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Women's Studies or an allied discipline in hand; a demonstrated commitment to Women's Studies/Gender Studies/Feminist Studies; an expertise in feminist theory; an ability to teach core Women's Studies courses in feminist theory and methodology at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and to supervise students in the Masters program. Commitment to excellence in research is also required. Letters of application should be accompanied by a current curriculum vitæ, a teaching dossier, and the names and addresses of three persons who can supply a letter of reference.
