University of Birmingham, UK, Global Ethics: two positions

1) The Department of Philosophy at the University of Birmingham invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Global Ethics to increase its scale of operation in that area. The appointment may be made at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level.
You will be joining one of the strongest Philosophy departments in the UK, committed to outstanding research outputs, grant capture and impact; and working towards an excellent REF submission (having been 2nd on GPA in 2014). The appointee will be engaged in teaching at all levels, developing in particular a strong postgraduate community.
The appointee will be part of the interdisciplinary Centre for the Study of Global Ethics and will contribute to its well-established mission, inter alia, to work on projects and outputs that influence and move forward the work of policymakers and practitioners, engaging in national and international debates.
This is an opportunity not only to be at the heart of excellent philosophy but also to make a difference to the world’s societies.
