CONTEXT: Glendon College is the bilingual (English-French) liberal arts Faculty of York University. It offers a variety of programs in the humanities and social sciences. It is located on its own separate, mid town campus.

POSITION: The successful candidate will: teach at the undergraduate level, teach and supervise graduate students, conduct research and carry out administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate must be suitable for immediate appointment to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

CANDIDATES: Ph.D. in Philosophy and demonstrated potential for excellence in philosophical research are required. Area of specialization: analytic philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, or metaphysics. Candidates must be bilingual in English and French, and able to teach in both languages.

APPOINTMENT: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2008. All positions at York University are subject to budgetary approval.
