The Department of Philosophy at Hobart and William Smith Colleges is accepting applications for a tenure track position in Philosophy of Mind or Metaphysics. Evidence of dynamic and potential for excellent scholarship and is required. 3-2 teaching load. Salary and benefits are competitive. Ph.D. required or be expected to defend their dissertation by August 2015. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to contribute courses to our interdisciplinary program in Cognition, Logic, and Language, as well as another interdisciplinary program such as Women’s Studies, Africana Studies, etc. A firm grounding in the history of philosophy is preferred.
