Dominican University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in philosophy at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2014. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. by the time of employment, be a generalist who is able to teach early modern philosophy (up to and including Kant), and should have a familiarity with alternative epistemologies.

Other responsibilities include teaching an interdisciplinary seminar within the undergraduate liberal arts and sciences core curriculum, student advising, participation in the University and departmental committee work. Evidence of teaching excellence and scholarship potential are required. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Philosophy. ABDs who will earn their terminal degree before August 2014 will also be considered. Evidence of teaching excellence and scholarship potential are required.
