Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies
University of Minnesota
Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Feminist Theory or Feminist Studies

GWSS invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position beginning Fall 2014. The Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Minnesota is recognized as one of the leading programs in the field.

We seek a scholar who specializes broadly in feminist theory or feminist studies, prioritizing expertise in a range of potentially interconnecting interests in the following areas: indigeneity; settler colonialism; human rights; securitization, migration, and the border; critical sexuality, transgender, and queer studies; political economy; and the environment. Ideal candidates will be those forging innovative and productive connections across methods, fields, and boundaries. Preference will be given to candidates who have conducted teaching and research in two or more of the areas in novel ways. We also look to attract scholars who have an interest in utilizing the Rachel Raimist Feminist Media Center by bridging their scholarship with an interest in digital humanities and digital pedagogies for social justice.
