JOB 1:
The University of Waterloo Department of Philosophy is accepting applications for a position at the rank of Lecturer. The successful candidate will become the coordinator of the Department’s business ethics offerings for Waterloo's successful Arts and Business Program and the business programs based in other Faculties. In addition to classroom teaching, the position will involve course development and mentoring new instructors, and the usual service commitments of a faculty position. While initially a three year contract position, the successful candidate will be entitled to consideration for Continuing Lecturer status at the completion of the contract. The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment, substantial teaching experience, and will provide evidence of experience in course design. Evidence of successful teaching of business ethics at a university and a record of pedagogical innovation will be considered important assets.

JOB 2:

The Department is especially interested in candidates whose research is in the history and philosophy of science, broadly construed (including technology and mathematics). The Department also has undergraduate teaching needs in ancient philosophy. The successful candidate will have a completed PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment, some teaching experience, and evidence of an actively developing research program.
