Assistant Professor of Philosophy; tenure track. AOS: late twentieth century French philosophy; AOC: some combination from among post-structuralism, deconstruction, feminist philosophy, philosophy of sex and gender, political philosophy, and Nietzsche studies. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Department's graduate and undergraduate philosophy programs; some of those courses will draw students from programs in Cultural Studies and Women and Gender Studies.
George Mason is a growing university in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, with an extremely diverse student body. Salary competitive, teaching load 2-2.
