1) Loyola University Chicago's (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Philosophy, beginning in the fall of 2012. The department is searching for candidates with specialization in Ethics and Bioethics. The area of competence is open, but a background in the philosophy of biology will be favorably considered. A completed Ph.D. in Philosophy is required.

Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate level in the University Core Program and the Bioethics Minor Program and at the graduate level in the Philosophy Department's graduate programs. Thesis/Dissertation supervision and committee responsibilities are also expected.

The department is searching for candidates with specialization in Ancient Greek Philosophy: Plato. The area of competence is open. A completed Ph.D. in Philosophy is required. The department offers an undergraduate major, an M.A., and a Ph.D. in philosophy. Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate level in the University Core Program and in the Philosophy Major, and at the graduate level in the Philosophy Department's graduate programs. Thesis/Dissertation supervision and committee responsibilities are also expected. Applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae, teaching statement, and letter of interest to:
