Union College, NY, Philosophy, Two Tenure Track and One Visiting

The Department of Philosophy at Union College (Upstate New York) is seeking qualified candidates for three positions in Philosophy: a tenure track position in the history of philosophy, a tenure-track position in metaphysics, epistemology and logic, and a visiting position which should include substantial competence in Asian philosophy and philosophy of religion.
The details are:
Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning September 2012. Areas of
expertise and competence are open, but the successful candidate should
be willing and able to teach and conduct research in a period of the
history of Western philosophy. The candidate is expected to teach in
her/his area of expertise at all undergraduate levels, from
introductory to advanced. Teaching load is 6 courses a year: 2 courses
in each of three 10-week trimesters.
Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning September 2012. Areas of expertise and competence: metaphysics, epistemology, and logic. The successful candidate should be willing and able to teach logic at all undergraduate levels, from introductory to advanced. Teaching load is 6 courses a year: 2 courses in each of three 10-week trimesters.
Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning September 2012. One-year renewable position. A tenure-track position may become available in place of this position in the future. Areas of expertise and competence are open, but they should include Asian philosophy and philosophy of religion; the successful candidate will regularly teach philosophy courses cross-listed with the Asian Studies Program and the Religious Studies Program. Teaching load is 6 courses a year: 2 courses in each of three 10-week trimesters.
