The Department of Philosophy at the University of Utah seeks to hire an early or mid-rank Associate Professor to take up the Sterling M. McMurrin Chair in Philosophy. Area of Specialization is open but the department is particularly interested in applicants whose research will continue building on existing strengths in philosophy of biology, practical reasoning, and applied ethics. Teaching load for faculty at the University of Utah is two courses per semester of undergraduate and graduate teaching.
