The Department of Philosophy at the University of Utah seeks to hire two tenure-track Assistant Professors to begin Fall 2012. Areas of Specialization include Ethics, Applied Ethics, Political Philosophy, Moral Psychology, Philosophy of Neuroscience, Philosophy of Cognitive Science and Philosophy of Medicine. The department is particularly interested in applicants whose research will continue building on existing strengths in philosophy of biology, practical reasoning, and applied ethics. Teaching load for tenure track faculty at the University of Utah is two courses per semester of undergraduate and graduate teaching.
