Department of Philosophy, University of Utah seeks to hire an Assistant Professor, Tenure Track to begin Fall 2011. Area of Specialization: Formal Philosophy with research focus in an area such as computability, decision theory, deductive logic, game theory or probability. Successful applicant's research should complement department strengths in philosophy of science or ethics. Teaching load for tenure track faculty at the University of Utah is two courses per semester of undergraduate and graduate teaching. Teaching requirements for this appointment include critical reasoning courses as well as graduate formal methods courses.
