The Department of Women’s Studies invites applications for a tenure track position in Indigenous, Aboriginal and/or First Nations studies. An expertise in transnational and/or postcolonial feminisms would be an asset. Geographical focus is open. The Department of Women’s Studies currently offers an undergraduate Major and Minor and Master of Women’s Studies. As well as interdisciplinary collaboration among colleagues in Arts, Business, Community Health, Education, Engineering, Human Kinetics and Recreation, Science, and Nursing, the department has strong connections with community organizations. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Women’s Studies or an allied discipline, with a demonstrated commitment to Women’s Studies/Gender Studies/Feminist Studies; demonstrated achievement in teaching and research; ability to teach required undergraduate courses in Women’s Studies (including Introduction to Women’s Studies); ability to teach graduate level courses in Women’s Studies and to supervise graduate students.
