The Department of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota invites applications for three positions
3. philosophy of science position. Open rank; although we are especially interested in distinguished faculty at the full professor level. Full-time, 9-month, beginning August 31, 2009. Ph.D. in
philosophy or related field required for appointment. AOS: philosophy of science that complements strengths in history and philosophy of science and related areas at the University; for example, philosophy of physical science desirable. AOC: Ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses on general issues in philosophy of science; competency in philosophy of the physical, cognitive, or social sciences an advantage. Responsibilities: Undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising; regular departmental duties. All candidates must apply online.
