The Women's Studies Department at Towson University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall, 2009. Position is contingent on final funding approval for FY10. We seek candidates whose primary area is women and religion in global contexts, who also have expertise in feminist theory. Teaching is a primary focus of both our undergraduate and graduate programs. Responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching of women's studies courses related to primary area of expertise, as well as introduction to women's studies and feminist theory; student advising; department/university service; and evidence of (or strong interest in) feminist scholarship. Salary is commensurate with experience at assistant professor level. Applicants must have a doctorate by the time of appointment.
