Loyola University Chicago, Chicago, IL. Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy. The appointment will begin in the fall of 2009.

AOS: Ethics and Bioethics, with a specialization in biotechnologies and their relation to issues in bioethics. AOC: Open, but a competence in philosophy of biology is a plus. PhD in Philosophy required. Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate and the graduate levels, for Loyola's Bioethics Minor Program and the Philosophy Department's graduate programs, including its Bioethics MA Program. Thesis supervision and committee responsibilities. Salary and teaching load competitive. Loyola offers an undergraduate major in philosophy, and an MA and a PhD in philosophy.
