Assistant Professor in Philosophy, tenure track, beginning July 1, 2009.

We seek candidates with specialization in either moral philosophy or political philosophy. We are open to a wide variety of approaches and topics, including rational choice theory and feminist and continental approaches. Teaching load is four half courses per year, undergraduate and graduate.

The University of Toronto, Department of Philosophy is a three-campus graduate department, consisting of all philosophy faculty appointed to the St. George, Mississauga (UTM), and Scarborough campuses. Faculty carry out their undergraduate duties at the campus to which they are appointed; graduate teaching and supervision typically take place on the St. George campus. Ph.D. and evidence of excellence in research and teaching are required.
