Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Applied Ethics
The Faculty of Philosophy at Université Laval invites applications for a regular Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Applied Ethics.
Description of the position:
The candidate selected to fill this post will teach full-time in our undergraduate and graduate programs in the field mentioned above. They will be expected to contribute to scholarly research in Applied Ethics through their publications, as well as to supervise graduate student research in this area. The successful candidate will be called upon to work in an interdisciplinary context, notably in collaboration with the Institut d'éthique appliquée (IDÉA) and in a variety of organizational settings. He/she may also be called upon to teach courses outside the faculty. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the academic and administrative activities of the faculty, especially in the context of the new professional master's program in applied ethics.

Selection criteria:
PhD in philosophy or equivalent at the time of hiring; solid knowledge of currents, methods and practices in applied ethics; ability and interest in working with, and teaching, people from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds; concrete and relevant experience in ethics in various workplaces or organizations, or demonstrated interest in acquiring such experience; ability to undertake autonomous and original research in the field, with prospects for international dissemination; teaching experience; relevant scholarly publications.
Employment and salary:
Salary in accordance with the current collective agreement.
