Sandra Harding at University of Guelph, March 23 at 5:30
Mar 10, 2011 → Mar 25, 2011
There's a very exciting event happening on Wednesday, March
23 at 5:30pm: our third annual Guelph Lecture in Philosophy. Our
speaker this year is Professor Sandra Harding of the University of
California, Los Angeles. Her talk will be on the ground floor open
area of McLaughlin Library.
Professor Harding is a prominent figure in philosophy of science and
philosophical feminism. She is the author of many books widely
discussed within and outside academic philosophy, including Whose
Science? Whose Knowledge?: Thinking from Women's Lives (1991) and Is
Science Multicultural? Postcolonialisms, Feminisms, and Epistemologies
(1998). We are excited that she will give the 2011 Guelph Lecture in
Philosophy, entitled "Objectivity and Diversity".
You're invited to that and to a reception we'll have on campus
afterwards.

We hope to see you on the 23d!
