Hybrid sessions: Hybrid sessions can be accessed via Zoom at this link.
- Hybrid sessions will always be in Room SJ2 2001.
- We will ensure online access to the keynotes and book award! For those, Zoom
audience members should write their questions in the chat rather than unmuting. - For all other sessions, audience members can write their question in the chat or
use the raise hand function; then when the chair calls on them, they can unmute
and ask their question verbally.
Locations (map): All talks will be held at the Academic Center (building SJ2) at St.
Jerome’s University within the University of Waterloo. - Hybrid talks will all be in one room (SJ2 2001).
- We will also have a quiet room where there will be no sessions and people can
take a break. It is located in the hallway that connects the Academic Center
(building SJ2) to Sweeney Hall (SH 1001).
Food: Breakfast and lunch will be provided. - Breakfast will be in the Atrium of the Academic Center, and lunch will be in the
adjoining building (the Douglas R. Letson Community Centre). - There will also be coffee and light snacks.
- All meals will be either vegan or have vegan options, and there will also be
gluten free options.
Scents and Smoking: Please avoid wearing strong scents; St. Jerome’s and the
University of Waterloo are smoke and vape free campuses, including tobacco and
marijuana. - But there are exceptions for medical accommodations and indigenous practices.

Concerns: Have a concern about something at the conference but aren’t sure who to
talk to? We have a Conference Ombudsperson! - Conference ombudspersons operate at a distance from conference organizers.
They can help participants figure out how to handle situations that may arise and
allow for the communication of concerns or commendations in an anonymous
way. They can also listen in confidence. - Anna Mudde (she/her) is our Conference Ombudsperson. Please contact her
