The Department of Philosophy at Dalhousie University invites applications for a 10 month Limited Term Appointment, effective August 1, 2019.
This position is subject to budgetary approval. Areas of specialization/competence: Ethics and Applied Philosophy.

The successful applicant will teach courses at introductory, intermediate and advanced undergraduate/graduate levels, with some limited graduate student supervision and committee work.
Excellence in teaching and research is required. A record of publication will be an asset. Applicants must hold (or be about to receive) a Ph.D. in Philosophy.
Salary will depend upon qualifications and experience. Course load will be 3 and 3. Courses to be taught will be a selection from the following: intro to philosophy,
second-year classes in computing ethics, understanding scientific reasoning, ethics in science (undergrad and certificate program versions), philosophy of sex and love,
philosophical issues of feminism, justice in global perspective, environmental ethics, possibly a third-year class in philosophy of biology, and possibly an advanced class
at the third or fourth year level in the candidate’s areas of specialization, or another high-draw, lower-level class.
