The University of Virginia Corcoran Department of Philosophy invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship
in the area of political philosophy, philosophy of law, and/or ethics. In addition to research endeavors, candidates will be expected to teach
at the graduate and undergraduate levels and provide service to the University and Department. The standard teaching load is two courses per semester.

the finalists invited for on-grounds visits in early 2019. The appointment begins in the fall term of 2019, with an anticipated start date of August 25, 2019.
Candidates are expected to have earned a PhD in philosophy by the time of appointment.
