The Department of Philosophy and Classics at the University of Regina invites applications for a term position in philosophy. The anticipated date of commencement is 1 July 2013, or no later than 1 September 2013, with an end date of 30 June 2014.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include teaching five philosophy courses. Among these will be Introduction to Philosophy, and Critical Thinking. Ability to teach applied ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, or philosophy of science at the second-year level or higher is an asset.

The successful candidate must have a PhD in philosophy (or be close to completion). Preference will be given to applicants who have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level. The level of appointment is flexible depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience but will not be considered at a rank higher than Associate Professor.
