The Department of Philosophy invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year Sessional Assistant Professor position in Moral and Political Philosophy. Applicants must have a PhD in Philosophy and an active research program in moral and political philosophy. Preference will be given to those with evidence of successful university teaching in both lecture and seminar formats. Applicants should be prepared to teach both moral and political philosophy at any level of the undergraduate program.

This position carries a teaching load of three full courses or the equivalent. The start date is July 1, 2012. All York University positions are subject to budgetary approval.
