Concordia University's Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for the position of Principal of its Simone de Beauvoir Institute. This internationally known pioneering institute focuses Concordia University's teaching, research and co-curricular activities in the field of Women's Studies. We are seeking a senior scholar of national and/or international reputation in Women's Studies.

The successful candidate should be bilingual (English/French), have administrative experience in a university setting and preferably should be familiar with Quebec. The key responsibilities of the Principal are to administer the Institute on a daily basis; to consolidate and further develop our undergraduate Women's Studies programs; to develop graduate programs in Women's Studies; to strengthen the research component of the Institute; and to foster outreach activities of the Institute both within and outside the academic community. A tenured or tenure-track appointment at the professor or associate professor level will be considered according to the qualifications of the applicant.
