The Philosophy Department at the University of Windsor is proud to announce the 9th Annual

“Essays of Significance: a Graduate Philosophy Conference”

All graduate students interested in participating are invited to submit an abstract (approximately 300 words) for a 10-12 page paper suitable for a 20 minute presentation. Presentations will be followed by a 10 minute question and answer period. Submissions from any area of philosophy are welcome. This can include but is not limited to: aesthetics, ethics, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of law. Travel bursaries are available to help offset costs for scholars travelling the greatest distances.

“Essays of Significance” will be held in the Oak Room in Vanier Hall at the University of Windsor on Saturday March 16th 2013. The deadline for submissions is January 18th 2013. Notice of acceptance can be expected by early February. Abstracts must be prepared for blind review with no identifying features. All identifying and contact information should be included in the body of the email with the abstract attached as a word document, pdf, or rtf file. Please send all submissions and inquiries to: gradphil.

On the evening of Friday March 15th 2013, following the 7th Annual “Critical Reflections: An Undergraduate Philosophy Conference,” a Keynote Address will be given by
